Destination Sailing

USVI and Spanish VI - October 21 - November 4, 2023

We're sailing from St Thomas to Fajardo, PR and islands in-between aboard a Beneteau 41.1 for 2 weeks. Sail one or both weeks for $1,350 per cabin sharing food/drinks and running costs. Tired of overcrowded anchorages and tourist traps? This is your trip. No passport required.

Newport/Cape Cod/Nantucket/Martha's Vineyard/Newport - September/October 2022

Frequently we make trips to fun and challenging destinations. I made this trip in July and it was amazing. We'd be aboard a Jeanneau 41 out of Newport in late September/early October. I know it's last minute but that beats waiting until next summer. Contact me if you're interested and we'll see what plans we can make.

Our August 2017 St Martin/St Barth's

We got out just before Irma....  On this trip we're sailing this beautiful Sunsail (Jeanneau) 51. This is a 4 cabin/4 head model with air conditioning/genset for comfort anywhere.  Brush up on your French! We'll hit the beaches and anchor out in quiet coves. Then there is the beauty of Gustavia in St Barth's. Come early and enjoy lounging in St Martin. Sit back, relax and also be challenged with a new ASA course.

Our May 2014 BVI trip... The Meet Kenny Chesney trip

I had the girls from our Bavaria 46 on the dinghy and we were landing at Saba Rock. I let a dingy in ahead of us. It landed and a shippy blonde with long hair pulled through her ball cap got off and tied up the dinghy. Then a "bass boat" guy with a tan, board shorts and a LA ball cap got off.  He looked really familiar. He then turned to catch our line and the shippy girl let out a little laugh over her shoulder, turned and left. He caught our line and helped the girls off which wasn't a minor feat. I ALMOST took a picture because it was so cool. And I almost said "you're the only decent guy I've met from LA" but glad I didn't. Took off the get the guys. When we came back appropriately armed with Pain Killers one of the girls said "you know that was Kenny Chesney"... and I knew it was him but didn't recognize him in without his cowboy hat. After seeing this video it's exactly what he looks like. When she was getting out of the dinghy she pulled close and whispered to him "come on over" and he laughed.... Saw him later and he waived to us as he was heading out back to his cat. Just a normal guy...

The video was shot at Ivan's - The Soggy Dollar - Foxy's  on Jost Van Dyke, some of our favorite hangouts. We can't guarantee that you'll be rubbing elbows with celebrities but this isn't uncommon. What we do guarantee is a great vacation with superb sail training on the side. We offer one advanced ASA course during the cruise. Who wants to spend all their time training in Paradise?
