In Florida, anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, who operates a vessel powered by 10 horsepower or more must pass an approved boater safety course and have in his/her possession photographic identification and a boater safety identification card issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. I've used and seen many anchoring techniques for storm conditions. The "tandem anchoring" method seems to be a very good solution. Read about it here.

Yes, we are up and running! And actually quite busy. The Magnuson Marina Cove Resort is expected to reopen to the public September 8th. Until then then there is security on-site and we have access to shoreside bathroom facilities and ice.
